Sam Pitroda, the chief of the Indian Overseas Congress, revealed the high anticipation surrounding Gandhi’s visit. “Since Rahul Gandhi became the Leader of Opposition, the Indian diaspora, diplomats, academicians, businesspersons, and international media have been keen to interact with him,” Pitroda stated in a video message. This visit marks Gandhi’s first trip to the U.S. in his new capacity, making it a pivotal moment for many seeking to connect with the Congress leader.

On September 8th, Gandhi will begin his visit in Dallas, where he will engage with students, academicians, and community leaders at the University of Texas. “We are organizing a large community gathering, meeting with technocrats, and hosting a dinner with local leaders,” Pitroda added, depicting the importance of the tour.
